Welcome to the Barely Tolerable Blog by TishaWrites.

I’m so glad you’re here. Honestly? I’m not entirely sure how this is going to unfold — but I have a few ideas. I want this to be a place where we encourage each other, where we talk about life as mothers and wives, swap a few favorite recipes (and maybe a few regrets that could save you some pain).

Truthfully, putting yourself out there for the whole world to see can be terrifying.
I know I’m a little weird, a little quirky — kind of like Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. I don’t fit neatly into any box. I’m not a Martha Stewart or a Kelly Clarkson. I’m not a Brené Brown or a Suze Orman. (And believe me, I’ve tried.)

But what I do love… is encouraging all the quirky, fun-loving people out there. So, here I am — giving it a shot.

Bear with me as I take these first steps. I hope you’ll come back again and again, and maybe find a little home here — a place where all your weirdness is welcome, somewhere between the ditches of perfection and disaster.

Some days I get it right. Other days... not so much.
But really — who decided the rules for "right" and "wrong" anyway?
I don’t always fit — and I’m more than okay with that.

When Mr. Darcy first met Elizabeth, he called her “barely tolerable.” Later, he realized he loved her — bewitched, body and soul.

There’s hope in being labeled barely tolerable. I hope you see that too.

Come back soon — there’s plenty more to come.

About Me…

Hi, I’m Tisha—writer, chocolate-maker, boy mom, and professional overthinker. I started Barely Tolerable as a place to laugh, vent, and make sense of the beautiful chaos that is midlife. Around here, we embrace the quirks, call out the nonsense, and find joy in the mess. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit the mold—welcome home.
